Barnett lane family home
Residential • preserving heritage and heirlooms
The Barnett Lane House, a family home in Fox Point, Wisconsin, is a full residential interior design renovation focused on preserving original character while creating a modern, livable update. The design approach prioritized working within the existing architecture and layout, allowing the home to be thoughtfully updated rather than completely replaced.
A key focus of the project was furniture restoration and heirloom preservation, integrating meaningful existing pieces throughout the home. The family room sofa was reupholstered, the entire dining set was refinished and reupholstered, and cane chairs in the living room were restored to maintain their original character while aligning with the updated interior design. Through a combination of residential interior design, furniture reupholstery, and curated material updates, the home achieves a layered balance of old and new—honoring family history while supporting a modern lifestyle.
